Our Main HUB

Cantaloa

Its position just Southwest of Sandris International, regarded as the one of the greatest marine and aviation hubs in the world, have always shunted Cantaloa's own development. Alavega itself was late to join the international community, combined with a lack of developed cities and reliable infrastructure. It was therefore to everyone's surprise when the tribal states of Alavega announced the development of their first certified, international airport in the early 70s.

The effort ended up being as far-fetched as a Remos GX catching up to a Concorde with afterburners on. With two decades of "investment" from international organizations resulting in both the direct establishment of the LARGEST CARTEL IN HISTORY STILL OPERATING TO THIS DAY and Avalon's infamous "liberation force" against said cartel, construction was hence halted. Further development did not resume until the early 2000s, with Cantaloa Airport opening its gates in 2012- becoming the youngest international hub in Aeronautica to date.

Its once-negated reputation has slowly seen a shift in the positive direction; the new century for the airport, let alone the continent, has been marked its rise as an international hub for exotic tourism, hot summer vacations, and lavish jungles not even seen on the renowned Harden Archipelago. Cantaloa's debts to Avalon's investors have been forecast to be eventually paid off, and when they will be, the airport is planned to further expand with two new terminals, a third parallel runway for long-haul routes, and apron and hangar expansions for growing domestic carriers servicing Alevega as a whole.

That being said the cartel's still lurking somewhere. Until that's eliminated as a problem Cantaloa's potential as a SAFE hub won't be realized, and has remained an uphill battle to this day. For this reason the airport has been rated as by far the most dangerous international hub in the world- since 2012. A decade-long streak! Woo-hoo...
